Job Summary:

We are looking for a trustworthy, discreet, and professional Personal Driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for an individual and their family. You will be responsible for getting your employer to their destinations comfortably and on time, while maintaining the vehicle in excellent condition. Because this role involves close daily contact with the family, integrity, confidentiality, and a respectful manner are just as important as driving skill.

Job Duties:
  • Drive the employer and family members safely to work, school, appointments, events, and other destinations as scheduled
  • Plan efficient routes and avoid traffic, road closures, and delays
  • Be punctual and ready ahead of scheduled pick-up times
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks (tyres, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, water) and keep the vehicle clean inside and out
  • Report faults, damage, or maintenance needs promptly, and arrange servicing, repairs, insurance, and road worthy renewals as instructed
  • Maintain logbooks for trips, mileage, and fuel use
  • Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle, and with luggage and shopping
  • Run personal errands such as collecting packages, paying bills, shopping, or delivering documents
  • Pick up and drop off children at school and activities safely, where required
  • Observe all traffic laws and practise defensive driving at all times
  • Remain alert to security concerns and take appropriate action to protect passengers
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the family’s movements, conversations, and private affairs
  • Remain available for flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the employer

Job Requirements

Education and Qualification:
  • Valid [Ghana] driver’s licence of the appropriate class
  • [WASSCE/SHS certificate or equivalent]
  • Polite, respectful, and well-groomed, with good communication skills
  • Honest, discreet, punctual, and dependable
  • Physically fit with good eyesight and hearing
  • Defensive driving, first aid, or security awareness training is an advantage
  • Willingness to undergo a background and reference check
Work Experience:
  • [3-5 years] of professional driving experience, preferably as a private, family, or executive driver
  • Clean driving record with no major traffic offences or at-fault accidents
  • Experience driving [saloon cars / SUVs / minivans] and comfortable with both city and long-distance driving
  • Excellent knowledge of [city/region] roads, shortcuts, and traffic patterns
  • Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge (checking oil, tyres, brakes, and fluids)
  • Experience transporting children, elderly persons, or VIPs with care and courtesy is an advantage
  • Previous experience handling personal errands and confidential information
  • References from previous employers
