Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Company Driver to transport staff, clients, goods, or documents safely and on time. The ideal candidate has a clean driving record, strong knowledge of local routes, and a professional attitude. You will represent the company on the road, so punctuality, courtesy, and care for the vehicle are essential.

Job Duties:
  • Drive company vehicles safely to transport staff, clients, goods, or documents as scheduled
  • Plan efficient routes and adjust for traffic, road closures, or delays
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks (tyres, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, water, and cleanliness) before and after trips
  • Keep the vehicle clean, neat, and in good working condition at all times
  • Report faults, damage, accidents, or maintenance needs to the supervisor immediately
  • Arrange servicing, repairs, insurance, and road worthy renewals as instructed
  • Maintain accurate logbooks, including trip details, mileage, and fuel usage
  • Load and unload items carefully and ensure they are secured during transport
  • Make deliveries and pickups, obtaining signatures or proof of delivery where required
  • Obey all traffic laws, speed limits, and company safety policies
  • Provide courteous, professional service to passengers and clients
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding passengers, destinations, and company business
  • Remain available for flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or emergencies when required
  • Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management

Job Requirements

Education and Qualification:
  • Valid Ghana driver’s licence of the appropriate class
  • WASSCE/SHS certificate or equivalent
  • Good communication skills and a neat, professional appearance
  • Physically fit with good eyesight and hearing
  • Honest, punctual, and trustworthy
  • Defensive driving or first aid training is an advantage
Work Experience:
  • [3-5 years] of professional driving experience, preferably as a company, executive, or delivery driver
  • Proven record of safe driving with no major traffic offences or at-fault accidents
  • Experience driving [saloon cars / SUVs / pickups / vans / trucks], depending on the role
  • Strong knowledge of [city/region] roads, shortcuts, and traffic patterns
  • Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge (checking oil, tyres, brakes, and fluids)
  • Experience keeping trip logs, mileage records, and fuel records
  • Prior experience handling confidential information or transporting executives is an advantage
